Polymer Picker - Christmas Edition

I was not expecting to create this blog post. I had expected to leave Polymer Picker alone after the last update, with the addition of the jellyfish adversary.

However, I was watching some of BBC Micro fan Colin Hoad's recent videos of his reviews of the Christmas themed arcade games over at the BBC Micro Games Archive. The collection hosted there is extensive, and the festive ones cover a wide range of game types. Not many are original, but are clones of classic games such as Q-Bert, Lunar Jetman, among others.

This series of videos got me wondering if I could do a festive version of Polymer Picker?

Well... I did!

The links to the game can be found on this page, along with the original version. I've reskinned some of the graphics, and added some new ones, and have tried to add some suitably appropriate music.

The action notably only takes place in the Arctic, where many discarded tree decorations and cheap toys are littering the ocean, so the job remains the same - collect them all, before the local sealife does and perishes.
